Welcome to the new home of AlexisBears!

I have to begin with a very humble apology to all my website followers, – I had a series of unfortunate technical difficulties that ended up with one very dead computer with all my website files locked inside. I have also, as many of you know, been a little side-tracked by the arrival of my two lovely, but very time-consuming boys and not producing quite as many miniature bears as I used to!

That said, I am sewing again! Yay! I haven’t been this productive for a while, and I have to say, I am really enjoying creating some little teddies again. Even though fitting enough bear-making time around family life with two preschoolers is making me a little anxious. (Deadlines looming!!)

The reason for this burst of bear making productivity is an upcoming online show which I have had the honour of being involved in this year. If you love artist teddy bears, make sure you get some computer time between November 18th – 20th 2011 and come check out the Teddies Worldwide Christmas Treasures Bear Show. It’s the largest online bear show, with 75 international artists taking part, collectors choice awards and a special section for special bears and gifts under $75. Perfect for Christmas present shopping. I’m super excited to be taking part, – it is a fantastic show.

All the show pieces are created exclusively for the show, and are under wraps until the preview day or the show itself begins, so what you see above is just a teaser. My little guys there are not coming to the show, but I can promise you there will be some that are just as cute!
